I love snow but because I live in the South (as do most of my blog followers), we rarely have the pleasure of the pretty white stuff. This weekend we got a wonderful gift and enjoyed some really beautiful snow and it was so perfect . . . . no school or work was interrupted, there was plenty of time to play in it (for those who like to play in it - I don't like to mess up it's perfection), and the roads were slick but if you were careful, you could go where you needed to go and get back safely, and now most of it is gone except for a little on the grass.
I would like to share some pictures I took at my place, while I was awed by this perfect snowfall coming in just when Spring should be on it's way! By the by . . . this coming weekend, our temps will be in the 70's - go figure! Go get your pedicures, gals - :)
Saturday afternoon it started coming down in big pretty flakes. Look closely and see the squirrel on the skinny branch getting an aerial view of the snow.
Just another view through the trees in the front yard.
This brightly colored cardinal looked so pretty against the snow!
Two more little cardinals out pecking around in the snow.
A view of the pond through the trees as the snow came down.
The next morning we were blanketed with bright whiteness!
My "Christmas Card" house - LOL!
These icy daggers were hanging on the back of the house and falling on our heads at random - yikes!
I thought this was a lovely picture of the pond in the morning sunlight with the snow all around and a goose couple (husband and wife, I suspect) came out to walk along the shore. See them on the far left.
A closer look at my goose couple as they enjoy the snow.
"My" horse, Brownie, enjoys a morning stroll in the snow. Well, he's sort of mine . . .
Shotzie shakes off the snow after a romp Sunday morning.
Shotzie enjoys the snow.
Brandon's truck enjoys the snow - looks like about 2 or 3 inches on the left side mirror.
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs to all,
