I love music; especially tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. One of my favorite performers is Elton John. I have had the great pleasure of seeing him live in concert on 2 occasions: once in the late 80's, and again 2 years ago. He puts on a wonderful show. Back in the 80's, he wore stacks, big hats, and crazy glasses. Today, he wears a wig, and wild floral suits with long coats, and he recently married his long-time boyfriend :) Whatever your thoughts on that may be, I certainly hope you can appreciate the musical genious Elton John is. My favorite song of EJ's is Tiny Dancer. I think it is sheer poetry. It was written in 1971 by Bernie Taupin. I'm always trying to find someone at karaoke who can sing it for me but it will take an exceptional singer to hit those high notes! Elton John was born in 1947 in Greater London, England. His real name is Reginald Kenneth Dwight. Today, he still so energetic and puts on a show you'd want to see over and over. He is in love with his audience and is having a wonderful time performing. At the last show I saw, he sang everything I wanted to hear and did three encores. I have the utmost respect for this great artist and entertainer. I have included the lyrics to Tiny Dancer. Sing along with me . . . . Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
Piano man he makes his stand in the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows the tune she hums
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Hi Denise!
I'm back.....I too love Tiny Dancer (and Elton John). Daniel is one of my favorites.....for the obvious reason.:)
Tim McGraw did a great version of it too. I liked when he sang it at his concert. (Which is the only concert that I have been to in the last seventeen years.) :)
I'm glad you are blogging....You are a natural. I look forward to catching up on what I missed while I was away.
God Bless,
Amy:)
