Goosey Goosey Gander ~

Saturday morning when I got up and went outside with Shotzie, we found all these lovely Canadian geese in and around our pond. This is the first time since we moved in (Thanksgiving) that I've seen geese at our place. Most people find them a nuisance but I find them lovely. Shotzie did too and wanted a closer look at their loveliness. She was cautious though and approached slowly. The geese that were on the grounds honked loudly, telling the others to "get out of the way, we're coming in" and trotted off in a line to the chilly, but safe water. Beagles do not care for the water so she did not pursue :)
Our geese returned yesterday as well.
Please enjoy the pics I took of my new friends.
Love,
Denise

They're pretty to look at on the lake - from afar. But I used to have a couple of Geese for pets and let me just tell you....Watch out!! They're mean!!

Very pretty!:)

I like to look at them too....Except there was this one time.....my friend and I took John walking around a lake in our neighborhood (he was about five), and all of a sudden this goose just started chasing him. The goose was running at him and HONKING really loudly...John and I were horrified. I, of course, panicked and was perfectly useless. Luckily my friend stayed calm and chased the goose away.

Shudder.

Have a great day, Denise!
Love ya,
Amy:)

They are nice to watch from a distance...sometimes when I try to walk in the park, if they are around they chase me. I don't like that much. But you took some nice pictures:) Also I see there is no snow, forgot what state you are in...hmmm. It is nice to see photos like these when we are buried in 3 to 4 feet of snow.
