Eyebrow Update

Happy Monday, friends. After doing some research, I learned that I cannot afford to have perma-brows applied. It will cost at least $500.00 for the pair. If you read one of my first postings, you know that I never have any extra money and when I do, me and Yvette go buy a shirt :-) These brows may as well be $1,000,000.00. Goof-ball me was thinking I should be able to have this done for about $100.00. Maybe the people who do this type of work consider themselved artists and you pay for their talent? Maybe "Tiny Tim's Tats and Piercing Emporium" down the highway would be cheaper . . . . but would they have many shapes to choose from? ;-)

Lo and behold, a friend of mine just got hers done last week (I didn't know she was doing it and she didn't know I was wanting it) and they are absolutely gorgeous! I'm happy for her but jealous for me.

Anyhoo, I guess these will have to do. Below are my brows today (very late in the day without any touch-ups). My brow hair stops where they should arch and the rest is pencil. I've also thickened them up in the front.

I practiced all weekend filling in and extending. I had them a little thicker, a lot thicker, and little longer, a lot longer, and this morning, I thought they looked pretty good. I do realize that the one on the right is all jacked up on top where the arch is, but maybe it will look better tomorrow. The one on the left is one good-lookin' brow! I'm so diggin' it. What do you think? The only problem is, I can never get them the same way twice. Maybe tomorrow the good one will still look good and the bad one will look better. I can only hope! Today, I was lucky that I didn't have one of them slide or disappear. I've tried to "keep an eye" on them to make sure they were still there.

Right now, I'm using the Maybelline brow and liner pencils - the red ones that come 2 in a pack. These are ok but surely there is something that stays on a little better. I use blonde even though my own brow hair is very dark brown/black. The blonde is just enough to fill in without me looking like Joan Crawford.

As for the rest of the weekend (when I was not worrying with my brows), I was able to spend all day Saturday and Sunday in the pool. Yep, I am skinnying up real nice. My hip trouble has gotten much better and I didn't even have to get a chiropractic adjustment. This problem must not have actually been the pelvic rotation that I had before, but it sure felt like it on Friday. I feel really good today. I am still sore and can feel it catch sometimes if I step down wrong or if I've been sitting for a long time and stand up. Other than that, I think I'm gonna be just fine.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I wish you a lovely week to come!

I'm so glad to hear your back is feeling better - maybe I should have read this post before I wrote that page long comment on the other one, HA!

Anyway, it's kind of strange reading your posts when you talk about your best friend, Yvette, and know that you aren't talking about me. And if she has a pool that makes you skinny I'm really jealous!!! Can I come over??? I need to get in it for about a month or two ;)

Hey, girl! Your brows look great!!
Mine are horrible - one side has too much and the other too little! But you know I have to get out the tweezers and pick those little stubbly hairs that drive me crazy!
I'm glad you are feeling better!!!
Take care!
Love you girl,
Sandra :)

Glad you are feeling better, Denise.

Once again you have me giggling.
I LOVE the Joan Crawford picture.;)
(She scares me.)

I would hate to think what my eyebrows would look like if I drew them on....I am always rubbing around my eyes, so I know that one of mine would be missing at all times.:) I'd be going around and people would see all of my eyebrow pencil....on my fingers.:)

And I'm with Yvette, how can I get in on this "skinny pool" business. Who do you have to know to be invited?;)

And as for your brows...they look great how you have them. They are not scary at all like Joan's eyebrows.....(She still scares me.) :)

I had my first back "therapy" session today. It went well....It's just awkward to meet a man, and then immediately have to bend over and touch your toes in front of him (while he stands BEHIND you).......

It was AWKWARD!

I'll probably need some emotional counseling before it's all said and done.

I'm just saying is all.;)
